Steve Williams, Non Executive Director, has been active in commercial real estate since 1970.

He began his career as a valuer in Liverpool in England. Since then, he has worked as an appraiser for several major firms as well as owning and operating his own appraisal business. For fourteen years from 2008, he was Executive Managing Director at digital information provider, Real Capital Analytics where he played a pivotal role in its global expansion.

Mr. Williams has held prominent leadership positions in the real estate industry including Past President of the 140,000-member Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and chair of its Knowledge Board. In the US, he is currently President of the International Real Estate Society (IRES) and has chaired both the Appraiser Qualifications Board and the Industry Relations Board of the UN Global Compact.

Educationally, Mr. Williams has been a visiting lecturer at Duke University, an external examiner for the MS in real estate courses at MIT’s Center for Real Estate and Georgia State University’s Robinson Business School, and a Board member of the University of Wisconsin’s Global Real Estate Masters (GREM) program.

Today he is a regular keynote speaker at real estate investment conferences promoting high standards and transparency for the built environment profession. He is Freeman of the City of London.
