Michael Marling, an Analyst with Capright, currently assists senior Capright staff with research, financial analysis and valuation of commercial real estate assets within the United States. These assignments consist of various property types including office, industrial, self-storage, retail and multifamily assets.  Assignments are prepared for a wide range of clients including real estate investment trusts, national and regional financial institutions, pension funds and pension fund advisors.

Mr. Marling researches and analyzes property-specific information, conducts market research, creates cashflow projections with financial modeling software and assists with the written composition of appraisal reports. The primary purpose of these assignments varies from client to client; however, they are typically for secured lending, financial reporting, asset management and portfolio monitoring and for loan monitoring purposes.

Prior to joining Capright, Mr. Marling held internships in a variety of fields, including a credit analysis internship at Lakeside Bank, a project management internship at RR Donnelley, and a real estate internship at Investors’ Realty. In addition to this, he has over a year and a half of restaurant management experience. Mr. Marling earned a bachelor’s degree in Information and Decision Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a concentration in Business Analytics.
