Shaun Oxtal, Principal with Capright, has been active in the real estate industry since 2003 and currently leads the New York City office for Capright.

To date, Mr. Oxtal has completed valuation assignments across 35 US States and the District of Columbia, encompassing numerous commercial and special purpose property types including: multifamily, retail, office, industrial, mixed-use, self-storage, hotel, condominium, condominium-hotel, gas stations/convenience store, marina, manufactured housing communities, residential subdivision developments and mixed-use vacant land. His experience includes a variety of engagements for assorted purposes such as financial reporting, portfolio valuation, collateral financing, marital dissolution, bankruptcy proceedings, litigation support, estate planning and property tax appeal. These assignments have been prepared for a wide range of clients including national and regional financial institutions, pension funds, pension fund advisors, investment advisors, government agencies, life insurance companies, corporations, REITs, accountants and attorneys. Mr. Oxtal also has significant experience performing Rent Comparability Studies (RCS) for the purpose of establishing contract rents for Section 8 HAP Contracts, completing these assignments nationwide.

Mr. Oxtal was appointed to the Tampa Hillsborough County Expressway Authority (THEA) Board of Directors by Florida Governor Rick Scott, serving in this capacity from 2017 through 2021. In this position Mr. Oxtal provided oversight for infrastructure projects, along with The Authority’s ITS (intelligent transportation systems) initiatives, which include the USDOT sponsored CV (Connected Vehicle) Pilot Program, aimed at connecting vehicles, infrastructure and pedestrians to improve safety and traffic flow.

Prior to joining Capright, Mr. Oxtal spent 6 years with OREA Valuation & Advisory, most recently as a Senior Associate.
