Jonathan Rivera, Director with Capright, has been active in the commercial real estate industry since 2006. To date, Mr. Rivera has completed over 500 valuation assignments in the US and Brazil.

Mr. Rivera specializes in the appraisal of multi-family residential assets and has completed over 200 multi-family valuation assignments across the US. Assignments have been completed for a variety of purposes including financial reporting for pension fund requirements and asset management and portfolio monitoring. These assignments have been prepared for a wide range of clients including pension funds, pension fund advisors, investment advisors, developers, national and regional financial institutions, conduit lenders and hedge funds.

Aside from his experience appraising multi-family assets, Mr. Rivera has also appraised student housing, self-storage facilities, distribution warehouses, office buildings and vacant land. Mr. Rivera’s Latin American experience includes the valuation of several major multi-family residential and office projects in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Mr. Rivera is also author of an articles entitled Will AI Replace the Commercial Real Estate Appraiser and The Impact of Climate Change on Real Estate Valuations and Decisions.

Prior to joining Capright, Mr. Rivera was an Associate at Walden-Marling, Inc., where he began his real estate valuation career. Prior to joining Walden-Marling, Inc., Mr. Rivera was a Radio Frequency and Acoustics Engineer at Motorola for five years.
