Douglas J. Ticus, MAI, MRICS, Principal with Capright, has been active in the real estate industry since 2005. Mr. Ticus heads the Capright Miami office. Additionally, Mr. Ticus oversees Capright’s service expansion and business development initiatives.

To date, Mr. Ticus has completed valuation assignments encompassing numerous commercial property types across the US. His experience includes a wide variety of engagements for a variety of purposes including financial reporting for pension fund requirements, asset management and portfolio monitoring, net asset valuation (NAV), collateral financing, and estate and gift taxation.  These assignments have been prepared for a wide range of clients including pension funds, pension fund advisors, investment advisors, non-traded REIT’s, corporations, life insurance companies, national and regional financial institutions, mortgage loan servicers and attorneys. Mr. Ticus also has experience assisting clients with process implementation, valuation compliance, and valuation policy best practices.

Mr. Ticus has extensive experience in the valuation of commercial properties in the major asset classes of industrial, office, retail, and multi-family.  Mr. Ticus has also appraised vacant land, mixed-use developments, residential subdivision developments, residential condominium developments, student housing, self-storage facilities, truck terminals, industrial outdoor storage, and restaurants. In addition to valuation of individual assets, Mr. Ticus has broad experience completing portfolio valuations.

Mr. Ticus has prior experience in construction management, real estate accounting, and property management as an employee for a real estate management and development firm based in Chicago.
